Jasmine Pearl (also called Jasmine Dragon Pearl) is one of the most popular scented tea from China. The Mouya Jasmine Pearl is made from Huang Shan Mao Feng green tea, and premium jasmine flower from Hengxian, Guangxi. The green tea is flavored with jasmine flower (no perfume at all!), and absorb the fragrance of the flower and add the floral aroma to the tea.
Premium scented tea should not contain the flowers or just very limited amount for decoration. During production, it needs 3~7 portions of jasmine flower to combine with one portion of original green tea. The green leaves and jasmine are piled up with layers in order to allow the green tea to absorb the fragrance from the flowers. When the scented tea is ready, the flowers have lost all the fragrance and thus should be removed.
Mouya Jasmine Pearl is hand-rolled from scented jasmine tea into ball shape. When it is brew, it gently unfurls and releases fresh jasmine fragrance. Anyone who’s interested in scented tea or fresh floral flavor is highly recommended to try this Jasmine Pearl!

More Information
Scented Tea:
Tea easily absorbs any aroma, which may sometimes cause problems in processing, transportation or storage of tea. However, this characteristic is highly appreciated when producing scented teas. In China, certain types of teas (mostly green tea, white tea and black tea) are mixed with fresh flowers such as jasmine, rose, etc... to create scented tea. Teas are flavored with a pleasant fragrance and taste from those flowers. Although called jasmine tea, rose tea, etc... fine Chinese scented tea should consist only out of tea leaves drenched in the desired flavor.
Tea leaves are scented with fresh flowers (mostly buds), and the flowers are picked out after a certain time; otherwise flowers would rot while fermenting with the tea leaves which makes the tea undrinkable. However, some scented teas have dry flowers added in order to improve the appearance, and allow customers to easily recognize the specific flavors.
Process Steps: Mixing fresh flowers with tea leaves in layers→ Rotating → Picking out flowers→ Drying → (repeat to improve the flavor)
